Electronic restoration and modification to improve and restore vintage amplifiers is a speciality. Theo has a reputation for restoring amplifiers with great care and expertise, using quality parts. Amplifiers are guaranteed and work includes service reports. Equipment is subjected to a period of stress and play testing. |
It is impossible to give an accurate estimate for the amplifier without seeing inside your amp first. The estimate is broken down into a parts plus labor charge for the completed repair, restoration or mod etc. |

GUITAR AMP MODS |
All classic modifications are undertaken, as well as anything the customer wants (if it can be done!) to get the 'tone' he or she wants. Examples of Theo's unique modifications include: |
1. Twin Reverb Fender amp with no master volume. Modified to two channels with master volume. One channel gives high sustain and distortion, the other gives clean and if necessary, crunchy sound. The two channels can be selected through foot switches. |
2. Marshall 1967 head. Attenuated send/return loop fitted at output of pre-amplifier in order to drive a transistorised space echo without fear of damaging the solid state electronics. High-voltage transistor preamp especially designed and fitted on return side in order to compensate for signal loss due to attenuation at the send side. Master volume also fitted |
