GUITAR & BASS AMPLIFIERS
Theo Argiriadis is currently developing a range of boutique guitar & bass amps. Hand built amps built for reliability, versatility, and great sound. Frustrated by the poor design and build of most modern amps he has decided to build his own....

These manufacturers are trying to build these things like toasters, someone designs it here, emails it there, it gets built in China or in some other part of the world, and there is no connection between the people involved.

They are recycling old designs, they've taken Marshalls, Voxs, Fenders, whatever, and tried to copy them. But no matter how good these original amps sounded, they were built in an era of fierce competition and they inevitably contained mistakes. So these new guys are making the same mistakes all over again! www.bluesinlondon.com

Theo is also a specialist in the restoration of vintage amplifiers and the complete rebuilding of amps. Repair and modification to all makes of valve and transistor guitar amplifiers, British or American.

STUDIO OUTBOARD
Theo builds valve-outboard modular systems, including the AAE distortion box and spring reverb amplifier units. These designs - made using real analogue electronics and real valves - are in a totally different league to software plug-in emulations of valve saturation and distortion.
MuseumofTechno's Dave Pape has made a short film, shot at Theo's workshop, where Theo talks about valves and demonstrates the sounds of his audio processors. View the full size version here.
HI-FI

Theo also specialises in the diagnosis, repair and upgrade of valve and solid state hi-fi from manufacturers such as Quad, Leak, Audio Research, Conrad Johnson, Fisher, Marantz, McIntosh, Radford, Rogers and 1970-80's Silver amps.
